awesome CSA cookbook/resource!!!!

Posted on

I just got this awesome book. hopefully it will help with all the exciting things I’ll get and need to eat from the CSA.

it’s called –
From Asparagus to Zucchini: A Guide to Cooking Farm-Fresh, Seasonal Produce and it gets rave reviews for being the most essential tool for anyone who belongs to a CSA. you can get it directly from those that made the book.
visit them at http://www.macsac.org/atoz.html
it’s super easy to order the book from their site, it links to paypal.

it took about 2 weeks to arrive. it is just outstanding. it has great resources in it. starts with great articles/excerpts regarding CSA’s, eating locally and seasonally, etc. then each section is a different veggie or herb. when you get to a section, it lists the item, info about it, cooking tips, storage tips and then recipes. in the back is info about food preservation, farmers markets and tons of great resource listings.

  1. I love this cookbook! My sister in law gave it to me for my birthday last year, and it has been a terrific resource. Every recipe I’ve tried so far has tasted great, though I have had a problem or two with execution.

Thanks for your blog. I made a Waldorf salad with goat cheese dressing for dinner tonight along with the Kohlrabi Cakes with Minted Yogurt from A to Z. The Cakes were more like a hash, but it still tasted great. Look forward to reading more!
