filet mignon with creamed spinach

Since we are now a single income household, so to speak, we are cooking a lot at home. Trying to replicate good meals, restaurant quality meals, on the cheap isn’t easy! We found beef tenderloin on sale this week. The total cost of this meal for two was approximately $15, YAY that is cheap!!!!!

2 beef tenderloin fillets
packet of peppercorn and herb grill seasoning (basically just peppercorns, dried herbs, pepper, onion, garlic, etc)

marinate meat in marinade mixture for 15 minutes or more. place on broiler pan. place 2-3 inches below broiling element. broil on high for 10 minutes for medium rare. done!

served with a fabulous Bogle Cabernet Sauvignon
