Marzilli Barbecued Meatloaf

yes another great recipe from my Mother-in-Law! She had given Chris a bunch of easy recipes when he was a single boy on his own. This is one of them. We love it and make it all the time!

Marzilli Barbecued Meatloaf
for five

1 can drained pinto beans (I use only about half)
1/3 cup finely chopped green pepper (I think we use a whole pepper, if not two)
2 tsp worcestershire sauce
2 tsp chopped garlic
1/3 cup barbecue sauce (sweet baby ray’s is the best!!)
3/4 lb ground beef
1/2 lb ground pork
1/2 chop chopped onion
1/4 cup breadcrumbs
1/4 tsp hot sauce
2 large egg whites beaten (usually use one whole egg)
salt & pepper to taste

preheat oven to 350. mash the pinto beans with a fork. then combine the beans with everything else. spray a 9×13 baking pan with non stick cooking spray. shape mixture into a loaf. brush with extra barbecue sauce. bake for 1 hour. brush again with barbecue sauce and bake for 10 more minutes. let sit 5 – 10 mins before serving.
