I made this for dessert tonight! It is chilling in the fridge. Can’t wait to try it! It was really simple to make. ***update, I am a dummy! we ate it, it tasted ok, but the graham crackers were so mushy and weird. when I said to Chris it was still warm and weird he agreed and I said hmm do you think chilled meant in the freezer and he said of course you silly girl, that’s why it doesn’t taste right! so I then put it in the freezer. When we tried to eat it the next day it was solid as a rock and couldn’t be cut. It was ruined! so I don’t think I’ll be making this ever again. Pictures first, recipe follows…..
Ice Box Cake – source unknown?
(2) boxes vanilla cook and serve pudding
(2) boxes chocolate cook and serve pudding
8 cups milk
Line the bottom of a 9×13” glass pan with graham crackers.
Prepare vanilla pudding as directed.
When pudding is done, slowly pour on top of graham crackers.
Top with another layer of graham crackers.
Prepare chocolate pudding according to package directions.
Slowly pour over second layer of graham crackers.
Crumble 3 full rectangles of graham crackers and sprinkle on top.
Chill at least 1 hour.
Serve by cutting into squares and top with whipped cream
